My Story

I have transitioned through many careers before turning to a life of fine art. As a mother, a wife, a clinician and an educator, I’ve worn many hats, but it wasn’t until being introduced to the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston in 2010 that I found my calling as an artist. After years of classroom and studio learning, I am happy to discover that my capabilities have evolved and have been validated by juried shows and sales of my original artwork.

Now relocated to the Chesapeake Bay region of Maryland, I have discovered new artistic achievements inspired by bird life native to the Bay, its river tributaries and adjacent marshland. In addition to using my natural surroundings as inspiration, you can find imagery of my extensive world travels narrated throughout my mixed media paintings.

When you start a painting, it is somewhat outside you. At the conclusion, you seem to move inside the painting.
